OMNI participants graduate from Basic Citizen Military Training - Philippine Air Force Affiliated Unit Reserve

Thirteen employees and pilot trainees from OMNI Aviation recently graduated from Basic Citizen Military Training by the 2nd Air Force Reserve Center, under the Air Force Reserve Command. They were officially acknowledged as enlisted reservists of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) in a graduation ceremony held on April 22, 2023, in Gaerlan Auditorium, Air Force Reserve Command, Air Force City, Clark Air Base.

The representatives from OMNI actively participated in the activities and Field Training Exercises. The batch consists of Roberto A. Umali, OMNI’s Chairman and President; Flight and Ground Instructors, Angelito Peralta, Gerald Urbayan, Dave Magbanua, Jaimes Randal Pagulayan, and Melvin Huelgas; Warehouse Staff, John Arnaldo; PTS Staff, Khristian Loren Chong; Pilot Trainees, Gabriel

Antonio Ruivivar, Daryl Dixon Kua, and Neil John Marayag; Security Guards, Rodrigo Odon and Jayson Barbieto. They were assisted and guided by TSg Alexander N Pastrana PAFR, SSg Nina Alexis S Laurel PAFR, and Sgt Alyanna Padilla PAFR, voluntary reservist instructors from OMNI.

The occasion was graced by the Deputy Commander of Air Force Reserve Command, COL NAPOLEON A TACUT PAF (MNSA), as the guest of honor and speaker. COL MARIBELLE B MANANGBAO PAF (MNSA), Commanding Officer, 2nd Air Reserve Center, was also present at the event.

Some of OMNI’s participants were recognized and received special awards for their exceptional performances in the activities. Flight instructor Capt. Dave Magbanua and pilot trainee Neil Marayag were awarded the Best Flight Award from Flight Bravo, ith TSg Alexander N Pastrana PAFR and A1C Napoleon G Tacut Jr PAF as the group’s umpires. Meanwhile, Pilot Trainee Antonio Ruivivar was given the Marksmanship Award for Best Marksman.

As reserved trainees of PAF, they will be able to provide assistance in relief and rescue operations during disasters and calamities. They can also conduct training to students of Basic, Advance ROTC, Probationary Officer Training Course (POTC), Advance Command Post (ACP), and other specialized training, among others.

Since 2016, OMNI Aviation has consistently participated in these programs at the Air Force Reserve Command of the Philippine Air Force.
