OMNI's MTC welcomes 93 new trainees for the MTSR Program

OMNI's Maintenance Training Center welcomed trainees from the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA)—Basa, comprising 93 students. They are currently pursuing degrees in Aircraft Electronics Technology (AET) and Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) as fourth-year students. In partnership with PhilSCA, OMNI will provide training to the group under the Maintenance Training School Requirement Program (MTSR).

Two orientations were held on March 20 and March 23, 2023, at the OMNI Aviation Complex, Hangar 2, to formally welcome the new batch. John C. Viernas, MTC's Operations Officer, led the program. He gave the students in attendance an introduction to OMNI Aviation, its facilities, the program, courses, instructors, and policies in order to ensure a productive and secure training environment. The trainees formally commenced ground schooling on March 22 and March 24, 2023, respectively.

The Maintenance Training School Requirement (MTSR) is a 2-month training program for students as part of their compliance with their OJT requirements. Students will be awarded a certificate of completion of the program.

On June 7, 2022, the Philippine State College of Aeronautics and OMNI Aviation Corporation signed a Memorandum of Agreement. OMNI was also awarded a certificate of accreditation as one of PhilSCA's Host Training Establishments (HTEs) for On-The-Job Training (OJT).

OMNI Aviation, together with the Philippine State College of Aeronautics, continues to provide quality training and work experience to students, preparing them for the aviation industry.
