OMNI Aviation Celebrates Pilot Trainees in Graduation and Moving-Up Ceremony

OMNI Aviation proudly held its Pilot Training School’s Graduation and Moving-Up Ceremony on April 11, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Clark, celebrating fifteen (15) Instrument Rating (IR) completers and nineteen (19) Commercial Pilot Trainees.

Present at the occasion were Capt. Eleazar Cayago, OMNI’s Vice President and Accountable Manager; Capt. Jude Pilar, Pilot Training School’s Head of Training; Capt. Von Padilla, Chief Flight Instructor; Capt. Paolo Ric Sudario, Chief Ground and Simulator Instructor; Capt. Jose Redentor Victoria, Capt. Geovanni Medinaceli, and Capt. Angelito Peralta.

The event commenced with the “Parade of the Trainees,” a proud and symbolic procession where each trainee stepped into the spotlight, celebrated by their families, mentors, and peers. It was a moment that reflected not just their progress, but the dedication and hard work that brought them to this day.

Capt. Eleazar Cayago formally opened the program with his welcome remarks, expressing heartfelt congratulations to the trainees and their families. He reaffirmed OMNI’s strong commitment to producing skilled and competent pilots.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Capt. Aljess Lasmarias, Senior Manager for Safety Management and Human Factors Manager at AirAsia Philippines, who served as the guest speaker.

A proud OMNI alumnus, Capt. Lasmarias shared his inspiring journey from student pilot to flight instructor, and now, a leader in the airline industry. He reminded the graduates that their chosen path demands dedication, passion, and lifelong learning. His message encouraged the trainees to stay grounded in their purpose while soaring toward their goals.

Each trainee proudly walked on stage to receive their certificates, medals, and tokens, accompanied by their families, friends, and mentors who shared in the celebration.

Representing the graduating batch, Francisco Manuel Ang delivered a heartfelt speech, thanking his family, instructors, friends, as well as OMNI Aviation, for guiding him and his fellow trainees to this significant milestone.

To close the ceremony, Capt. Jude Pilar delivered his closing message:

“Graduates, take pride in your achievements, stay curious and never stop striving to become better. The aviation industry is waiting for your contributions, and I have no doubt that you will make it a better industry. We congratulate all of you! May your future be bright, your dreams be big, and your success be plentiful. Wishing you blue skies ahead.”

The formal program concluded with a delightful dinner and photo opportunities to celebrate and commemorate the day.
