A first-class, first-rate destination for General Aviation… this is what OMNI Aviation is known for now. Amidst all the struggles, our great aviation hub progressed into something excellent to produce great people for the aviation industry.

25 Years of Greatness in the Making

OMNI Aviation started operating in 1993. Back then, the newly formed Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) built the Clark Development Corporation (CDC). BCDA gave CDC the responsibility of rehabilitating and developing the former Clark Air Force base, now known as the Clark Freeport Zone (CFPZ).

It was during this time, on August 1993, when OMNI Aviation was put together. The incorporation of the now great Aviation training ground began with the intention to lease and develop the premises of the Clark Aero Club. The latter was a 32-hectare aerodrome situated adjacent to Clark Air Force Base’s main runways.

Fast forward to early February of 1994, OMNI Aviation penned a 25-year lease with CDC. The 25-year lease is renewable for another 25 years. Nearing the expiry of the 25-year lease, OMNI Aviation celebrates its 25th year.

Decades have passed. OMNI Aviation came out strong, rising from the ashes during the eruption of Mount Pinatubo. We now stand as an aviation hub unlike any other across the Philippines.

The Gradual Progress toward Success

Originally, five retired B-747 airline captains with one retired Airbus 320 captain owned OMNI Aviation. The company traversed throughout the years with the combined aeronautical experience of the former airline and airbus captains in excess of 25 years and an estimate of 170,000 flying years.

From their leadership, the First Asia Venture Capital (FAVC) acquired ownership of a large portion of OMNI Aviation’s stocks in 2011. The stockholder stands as a direct investment company. Its interests lie in the education sector alongside an expertise in financial management for small and medium-sized corporations.

Come 2012, the Magsaysay-Seacor Inc. was welcomed aboard, as well. The said group took interest in OMNI Aviation’s prospects as a major aviation training center. The company intended to become partners with FAVC to plan and see what’s in store for the future.

Preparing for More beyond the Finish Line

After 25 years, OMNI Aviation is now the premier provider of internationally competent individuals to both the aviation and the travel industries.

Our success translates into the modernized fleet of aircraft we have. The intention to build a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) business also turned into reality now. Now, we have more airline pilot training facilities and an established aircraft maintenance training school.

From all these, we plan to do more. We hurled obstacles and we plan to overcome more struggles to be of greater help in providing top-of-the-line professionals to the airline and aviation industry.

Expect greater and bolder things. After 25 years, our silver anniversary, OMNI Aviation is going for the gold. With excellence and passion combined, we will train and hone individuals to direct them toward amazing career paths. There’s so much in store for the future of the airline and aviation training hub.

This is just the beginning of OMNI Aviation’s silver lining.
